TrueForm Epoxy

Stained Concrete with Depth and Character

Concrete stains and dyes add colour to the slab itself. Rather than covering the concrete, they soak in and react with it, producing translucent, variegated colour, from warm earth tones to cool greys and deep blacks, with the natural character of the concrete showing through.

Stained concrete suits basements, lofts, restaurants, retail and offices where you want an organic, upscale look. Every slab takes colour a little differently, which is part of the appeal, so we test and show you what to expect.

After staining, the floor is sealed with a clear protective coat, and in many cases it can be combined with grinding or polishing for a more refined finish.

Questions

Concrete Staining & Dyes: FAQs

Will stained concrete be an even colour?+

No, and that is the point. Stains and dyes produce natural variation that depends on the slab. If you want a uniform colour, a solid epoxy is a better choice.

Can any concrete be stained?+

Most bare interior concrete can, once old coatings, sealers and glue are removed. Patches and repairs take colour differently and will show. We assess the floor and do a test area where useful.

Does stained concrete need maintenance?+

The colour is in the concrete, but the sealer on top wears with traffic and needs periodic recoating, more often in busy commercial spaces.

Often paired with grind and seal concrete, basement epoxy flooring and polished concrete.
